Money for You

We understand that college is expensive and providing for the rest of your life while also paying for college is extra expensive! Through the generous help of AS网赌正规真人实体在线平台 and the 网赌正规真人实体在线平台 Foundation, we have three programs to help students like you. In addition, grant funding is available if you are a Workforce Education student pursuing a Certification or AAS.

We can provide:

  • Childcare Reimbursement

If you are low income and need assistance in childcare costs, apply for our Childcare Reimbursement Program. Your childcare provider must be licensed by the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF). We provide partial reimbursements for your childcare costs depending on your eligibility. You can read our student reference guide for more information. Use our convenient, confidential online application below or download the Workforce Education Center Childcare and Travel Reimbursement Application, which can be emailed to cctandloanprogramFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN.

  • Travel Reimbursement

If you are low income and travel a minimum of 10 miles one-way from residence to class, lab, or practicum, apply to our Travel Reimbursement Program. We can provide reimbursements for your travel expenses. A valid driver’s license and insurance are required when you apply. You can read our student reference guide for more information. Use our convenient, confidential online application below or dowload the Workforce Education Center Childcare and Travel Reimbursement Application, which can be emailed to cctandloanprogramFREECOLUMBIA_BASIN.

  • Student Emergency Assistance Grant (SEAG) and Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness (SSEH) Grant

If you are experiencing a financial emergency, you can apply for both the Student Emergency Assistance Grant (SEAG) and the Supporting Students Experiencing Homelessness (SSEH) grants. SEAG/SSEH can grant you a one-time award to assist with housing (e.g. rent, payment, repair), utilities, travel (e.g. gas, car repair), medical expenses, childcare, technology or many other types of expenses. The only expense the SEAG CANNOT assist with is tuition. The SEAG program defines an “emergency” as an unforeseeable expense that may hurt your ability to be successful in your classes or even force you to drop enrollment. To approve the application, SEAG prioritizes requests that can be “solved” with the award. All criteria are considered on a case-by-case basis, so if you are in need, please apply.

The SSEH grant is designed to help students who are in need of rent/mortgage help OR who are currently homeless/couch-surfing. The grant can offer some financial assistance, links to housing resources in the community, and some resources on campus like shower facilities, overnight lockers for secure storage and other needs.

Both the SSEH and SEAG grants are funded by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.  All of our grants have funding limits and all awards depend on fund availability. You can apply for both the SEAG and SSEH from the link below.

Your approval is based on your ability to repay either by your income or Financial Aid. You can read our student reference guide for more infromation.
