Local Opportunities
Apprenticeship is a combination of technical classes and on-the-job training. Once you complete the workplace and classroom assignments you will be recognized as a Journeyman in your chosen industry nationwide.
There is a wide variety of apprenticeship opportunities in the Columbia Basin. Contact the individuals or unions listed below to begin the process. You must first complete the individual or union apprenticeship specific application. Each has their own minimum qualifications in order to apply so please visit the apprenticeship website you are interested in to view these qualifications. Once, you have submitted your application, you must follow each programs process. If you are accepted into one of the specific apprenticeship programs from the list below, then you will be registered as a Columbia Basin College student and start earning college credit for the course work you complete as an apprentice. Multi-Occupational Trades (MOT) Degree AAS
This degree is offered to apprentices who complete their apprenticeship program and earn their journeyman card in one of the specified apprenticeships listed below. By taking 20 more general education credits, you will obtain the MOT degree from Columbia Basin College. This degree also transfers to Eastern Washington University into their Bachelors of Science in Applied Technology.
